Beautiful Day Gardening & Planning 2nd Garden Plot

Finally after 5 days of rain we had sun. I finished clearing out the new garden plot area while Melanie worked on her crafts inside.

I hauled two more truck loads of compost in the morning. I actually left without breakfast in order to get everything done in time. I got back for lunch.

After that I finished cutting up the tree that I had dropped last week. Then I hauled off all the branches and brush into a pile to be later processed into mulch for our garden.

Next I hauled the logs to the fire pit in front of our home. We have enough fire wood for bonfires this summer now.

The tomato plants are growing now that we have had heavy rain but the chili plants are pale and yellowish. It could be the colder weather or it could be excess rain.

I put fertilizer on the garden last weekend so the plants should be able to grow well enough now.
