Snowy Off Grid Homestead Day & Tiny House Electrical Work

Due to all the snow I spent most of the day running in and out between shoveling snow, working on the computer, doing chores and working on the tiny house wiring. The day went by quite fast actually.

Melanie was a bit under the weather today so I took care of the daily chores outside. Normally Melanie cares for the animals in the morning while I work on the daily video and articles. But on this day I did everything and let her rest.

I took the camera with me while I fed the animals.

After the chores I swapped out batteries in the off grid greenhouse. I am restoring lead acid batteries on my old homemade Bedini motor.

By the time I got back to the tiny house the solar panels were already covered in snow. It was coming down pretty fast.

I was outside as much as in on this day. I shoveled out all the pathways and kept them clean so that we could get around easily in case the snow got very deep. It is easier to maintain a pathway than to start fresh after a heavy snowfall.

Inside the off grid tiny house on wheels I worked on the electrical wiring. I installed a new 12 volt power outlet in the tiny house living room and put a fuse block in the loft above. This will give us more power in the living room. And up in my tiny house loft office I will have a power outlet as well.

I am going to rewire the tiny house living room indirect LED lighting and make it more accessible to Melanie. This will also be fused and the wires will be neatly run.
