Snowy Homestead ~ Packages Arrive ~ YouTube Is A Job

It snowed again at the off grid homestead so I used the dirt bike to get around and take care of business. Some important packages arrived today.

We had sleet, snow and freezing rain all night and the whole next day. We did not see the sun for a couple days now. We may have to use a generator if things do not turn around soon.

I took the mini bike out to get some water from the creek for Melanie to cook with. She was waiting for me. We do not use the filtered water for cooking because the filter is so slow.

I worked on the computer for many hours today. I uploaded two videos on this day and also wrote two entire articles, one for each video. It takes me between 1 to 2 hours to edit a video. Then another 1 to 2 hours to upload a video. Then another 1 to 1.5 hours to write an article and video descriptions and make the video live.

Some people are telling me to get a normal job to supplement our income but YouTube is a full time job in itself. And that does not count homesteading which must be done daily as well.

I later took the bike out again in the freezing rain to check the mail about a mile away. I got the mail for others as well because the road conditions were not really safe and people were not leaving their homes today. But I enjoy the bike in all weather conditions and use it anyway.

I got some packages in the mail which I was waiting for. These are a volt meter, tachometer and an oscilloscope kit that I have to put together myself. All of these will help me tune the pulse motor/battery desulfator which I am working on.

This device could keep my batteries fresh and in good condition for the rest of our lives. That is why it is so important to me.
