Archimedes' Screw: Marbles Animation

Archimedes' screw is a cool gadget, not invented by Archimedes, just described by him after he saw it in action in Egypt, then later attributed to him.

In this animation the screw pump (also known as the Archimedean screw, hydrodynamic screw, water screw or Egyptian screw) is used to first roll 4000 marbles down to ground level, then the rotation starts and the screw demonstrates its awesome ability to transport stuff without caring what gravity says.
