26 ft Moving Vehicle For Our Homestead Move Across Country

Melanie and I picked up our huge 26 ft moving truck Saturday with a car trailer attached. During the week we have been packing our gear into the huge truck.

This is the biggest thing I ever drove. But I wanted to be sure it would hold all of our things with no problem.

We are taking our garden and power equipment as well as our household items. We also have a lot of solar panels and solar power equipment and batteries.

To allow for ease of packing the batteries I put two at a time into boxes. This allows me to stack things on top of the boxes just like any other box. Otherwise I could not put anything on top of a battery without damaging it.

I have the dirt bikes, scooter, push mower, riding mower, garden tiller, gokart, wood chipper, snow blower, chain saws and weed whackers all in the truck as well. This will save me money when we get to our new home. I figured it was not much price difference for a larger truck so I took it. I may as well fill it.

We still do not yet have a home to go to in MIchigan but we plan to go when the ground is firm enough to get the truck out.

Saturday morning we had a freeze so we headed out and got the truck. It softened up during the day and we would never have driven in there.

During the week we had all the rain which turned everything to slop.

I did not share the fact that we had a truck earlier due to our vandals visiting us in the night.
