Ice Fishing With Melanie ~ Her First Time On Ice Ever

I took Melanie out on the ice for her first time ever in her life. She has never been on ice before. And we went ice fishing on top of that.

At first Melanie was very scared of walking on the ice. I guess my horror stories of falling through the ice did not help any though.

I used an ax to cut a hole in the ice for Melanie to fish. Then I went and cut myself a hole. We tried a few different places on the lake but never found any fish at all. I dont know where the fish went for winter but this lake was loaded with fish in summer. They must be there somewhere.

We had some fun though playing on the ice. Melanie started to get comfortable with the ice in time and was soon playing with me.

She was absolutely against ice skating a first but now she said she wants to try it. So we are going to look around for some used ice skates in her size.
