No Internet Connection Detected? What does it mean?

This video goes over the error message that may pop up in your game:
No internet connection detected. Some functionality may be disabled.

This error pops up when there is an issue with the game contacting the 3D landscape servers.

This is a weird message to get because you need to have internet in order to play World of Airports.
