Just before the storming of the Bastille the infamous Marquis de Sage stashed a 40-foot long scroll between some bricks. It was an obscene piece of literature that would ultimately become one of the most valuable pieces of writing in history. This is my interview with the author Joel Warner who just wrote a book titled "The Curse of the Marquis De Sade: A Notorious Scoundrel, A Mythical Manuscript and the Biggest Scandal in Literary History."
