Does Evidence Lead To Christian Belief?

If you ask someone what proof you believe a Christian would give you concerning the truth of Christianity you might pick something like evidence for the Resurrection or the Kalam. But if you ask someone to tell you how they came to believe that Christianity is true it is rare that Kalam or others would be included. So does evidence lead to Christian belief?
