Israel Bombs Gaza After 11 Killing In Nablus Raid

Israeli forces bombed the Gaza strip early on Thursday in retaliation to Palestinian rocket launches fired in response to one of the deadliest IDF raids in years on the West Bank left 11 dead on Wednesday.

Over 100 more Palestinians were wounded by the Nablus raid, which Israel insists it carried out to arrest three fighters allegedly involved in earlier shootings against Israelis, but which Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported as being carried out with indiscriminate firing.

Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida said the group’s patience “is running out”, while the Palestinian Islamic Jihad slammed the raid as a “major crime” that the “resistance must respond to”.
