Atomic Heart My 1st hour with it. Why I like it and Hate it
Why do I at the same time LIKE Atomic Heart & hate Atomic Heart?
Very simple, I like the gameplay for the most part, the visuals are amazing & the character models look great, not like the mashed potato heads of current American design in games.
Why do I HATE Atomic Heart? That's an Even simpler answer. Sergey Nechaev. As much as I disliked Frey in Forespoken, I dislike Sergey just as much.
Every single line that comes out of his mouth is either a profanity (swearing) arrogance, or a joke. He is very cringe and I will likely switch over to the Russian dialogue because man, he completely ruins the game with his American Millennial dialogue.
The other characters in the game like all the automatons even though they are purposefully written with cringe, I don't mind them, at all.
I am reserving judgment though on this "Female" character, a medic that has a very millennial haircut that is dyed Purple & Pink, I feel she will be the Representation the industry demands of all games. Who knows.
Is this a must play? No, I wouldn't say so as of the 1st hour, but I do not feel driven to play on.
The controls are wonkey because even though I played with the settings, the melee feels very off.
How this game did not include a Photo mode is beyond me.
I also briefly touch on the NON "Controversy" of the game. If you are an activist, hear me, I Despise YOU & everything you stand for! You are NOT protesters, you are Bullies that are educated on Hatred for mankind & you are the lap dog of the Government & the Evil Media. They point & you attack.
That being said, the game had been in development for 7 years, far before any of this stuff with the Ukraine. Also you have no ties to either country, you have no idea what actually goes on. I have Family in Russia. Regarding funding for the game, YES, the government did fund some of the development of the game. That is NORMAL, that also happens in Canada & the USA.
Play the video Games you want & stop attacking people you sick in the head Hate Activists.
