Kill Switch (Xbox) Gameplay -Xbox 360 Upscale, No Commentary- A Game that Inspired Gears of War

I haven't uploaded footage of Kill,switch since I uploaded it as an Xbox Underrated Gem in 2009. Kill.switch was released on the PS2, Xbox, and PC, and was a huge inspiration to Gears of War. That duck-and-cover-third-person-shooter gameplay that was all the rage on the PS360 was formed here. I look at it like this, Metal Gear Solid inspired Winback, and Winback probably inspired Kill.switch. Irregardless of whether Winback was a big inspiration on Kill.switch, Kill.switch was definitely an inspiration of Gears, and by proxy, every other duck and cover shooter on the 7th gen.

I'm about the tick off some blind RE4 fanboys, but, no, Resident Evil 4 doesn't get credit for inspiring these shooters in the 7th gen. It had a terrible third-person control system for it's day (even in 2005, RE4's controls were terrible for a third person shooter), and the over-the shoulder viewpoint wasn't new to it either. So, I can give it maybe, the aim fire button, where you hold a button to aim in, but that's a refinement, not the inspiration for.

I know there are reasonable fans who love RE4 that think the credit it gets is way over blown, but blind fans who regurgitate, what I'm guessing was an article written years ago by some gaming website or outlet where the writer probably didn't even know about Kill.Switch, make it sound like it's common knowledge that RE4 was the inspiration for the entire 7th gen, ha, ha, no. No one at the time was talking RE4 as the inspiration.

I was active on multiple forums at the time, and Kill.switch was the game people talked about as the inspiration for Gears. This is obviously something that has come about since then, because it would have come up. Had anyone mentioned RE4 as the inspiration, they would have been torn to shreds, and laughed out of the forums, because the internet was a much meaner place back then.

You might love RE4, but stop giving it credit for things is absolutely didn't do. You can get mad at me for saying this if you want, but it's the truth.
