A volcanic crater lake located within sight of Lake Nicaragua and the cities of Masaya and Granada is just the spot to start our series showcases all of the wonders that exist in the beautiful country of Nicaragua: Central America's largest country.
Laguna de Apoyo has some of the cleanest fresh water, amazing views, and quiet sunrises in the country. Located so close to the capital, the airport, and all of the tourist hotspots it is often overlooked or unknown to those visiting the country.
