枯れた後の蓮の茎がこの池から消え去るころ
季節は確実に春に向かう。
この日は春を思わせる日差しがあふれていた。
When the withered lotus stem disappears from this pond
The season is definitely heading towards spring.
On this day, the sun was shining, reminiscent of spring.

鳩・雀・鷺・鴨たちがなぜか僕がベンチに腰掛けたとたん
行儀よく集まり始めた。
「ごめんよ。僕は君たちに上げられるものは何も持ってないんだ。」
そう言ってやると、少しづつ飛び立つ者や移動する者もいた。
「きっと、たまに餌をくれる誰かと間違ってるんだね。」
「すまん。」
それでも新しく舞い降りてくる鳩たちがいる。
For some reason, the pigeons, sparrows, herons, and ducks all began to gather politely as soon as I sat down on the bench.
"Sorry, I don't have anything to give you guys."
When I said that, there were some who flew away little by little and some who moved.
"Maybe you're mistaken for someone who feeds you every once in a while."
"sorry."
Still, there are new pigeons that come down.

そんな時間を池端のベンチで３０分くらい過ごしただろうか・・・。
そして帰り際に彼らに約束した。
「次に来るときは君たちにおやつを持ってくるからね。」

そして次の撮影に向かった。
I wonder if I spent about 30 minutes on the bench at the edge of the pond.
and made a promise to them on the way back.
"Next time I come over, I'll bring you some snacks."

Then I headed off to the next shoot.
