Saharan Dust Blows Across the Mediterranean; Cleaning up the Small Garden

A meteorological phenomenon happens when Saharan dust blows across the Mediterranean Sea, north toward Europe.
When this happens tiny particles of sand are sucked up into the atmosphere and carried north by winds. The sand or tiny particles of dust can become trapped in water molecules that form clouds and may fall in the form of rain or just blow down as dust if there is no precipitation.

Check out these video to see how the sky looked in 2022 when this phenomenon happened. They sky was so orange from the strong swell of dust that happened that couple days here in Gibraltar and La Linea Spain:

In taking care of the small patio garden at Gibraltar Heritage Trust at The Main Guard, one of my goals today was getting some clean up done. I took a wet paper towel and wiped off some of the bigger leaves of the sand particles that had been left on them.
This is no small task as this weather effect "La Calima" can happen a couple different times. So the clean up may take several weeks, on and off. Once the temps get a little warmer I will use the water hose to lightly rinse off the leaves. For now, the soil is to wet and I want the pots to dry out a bit.
