Illinois' Very Evil Red Flag Bill

Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses one of the most sinister pieces of legislation to come about in any state in recent times, Illinois HB 3967, sponsored by Rep. Nabeela Syed, of Illinois' 51st Legislative District. What does this bill do? Well it takes an otherwise terrible law, and ensures that it is unconstitutional by depriving every Illinois citizen with their basic fundamental procedural due process rights. Because if enacted into law, a respondent to an Illinois Red Flag petition, will HAVE NO RIGHT, to even be provided notice OR an opportunity to be heard before the Court makes the decision.
