My Top 40 Videogame Soundtracks (Part 2) #OST

Welcome to part 2 of my countdown of favorite video game soundtracks of all time. Don't forget to check out part 1 first:

While compiling this list, it became quickly apparent that a top 10 or 20 was not going to be sufficient because there are too many OSTs here that I just had to talk about, so I settled on a top 40, leaving out 35+ other series that I could have chose as well. Yeah, I said series. I'm only doing 1 per franchise on this list. Otherwise, I feel like I'd be wasting your time with a top 100, talking about every Zelda and Sonic and Trails game that has ever been released. Nobody needs that. In my opinion, these types of countdowns are supposed to be useful for helping people discover new things, and based on what I have lined up here, I think I can have that effect for someone out there.
