Melanie Milks The Goats Her First Time

Melanie takes a turn at milking our new goats. She actually asked if she could milk the goats and that I record it. This is her first time ever.

The goats still need to be trained where their food is but they are learning. We have a pallet milking station. One pallet with plywood forms the base of the milking station. Then another pallet is attached to one end of the base. A hole was cut out of the upright pallet to allow the goats to put their heads through and get to their food.

We use a collar to keep the goats in place while milking. They are very gentle though and let us work with no trouble at all.

Melanie loves milking the goats. She thinks it is quite fun.
