The Survival Bug Out Jeep Is Back To The Off Grid Homestead

Finally, after over 6 months at the mechanics awaiting inspection for the NY state roadways, I got my Jeep back home. I have it insured, registered and plated. Legal to drive down the roads now.

Sadly though it is not in the condition I left it in. When I first drove it over for a simple NY vehicle safety inspection, it was driving fine. They had a new guy under the hood one day at the mechanics. No idea why he had the hood open for a safety inspection, which requires working lights, brakes and vehicle suspension. But anyway, it never ran again.

They worked long and hard on it in the beginning. Changed a bunch of parts under the hood. But it never ran again.

Now, nearly 7 months later, they called me up and said I could bring it home. I had to get a jump start because the battery is dead. I had to wiggle the fuse block because it is corroded. But it ran and drove back to the off grid homestead.

I will get a new fuse block online for $20 and replace the bad one.

I am not happy though about the battery. It was a good, working battery when I left the Jeep over there. Now it will not even hold a charge at all. Not even to turn on the dome light. Nothing.

My old truck is retired. It was getting old and too many things are wrong with it so I parked it permanently.

I will drive the Jeep as needed to get materials for construction. I hope to turn it into a Bug Out Survival Vehicle as well. This was my original intentions. I was going to use the truck as a work horse and the Jeep for survival. But with the truck dead, the Jeep will have to be both my bug out vehicle and work horse.

I have some tires to put on the Jeep, and a roof rack as well. I picked these up the first week that I bought the Jeep.

I also explain that I originally intended to use the Jeep to ride with MOMT on his overland adventures. We had done multiple videos together talking about this. But he is not doing videos anymore so I will just use the Jeep on my own now.

The trolls have tried to stir up tabloid rumors about the two of us being enemies but none of this is true. Sure he was upset that I did not take his advice when he told me this was not a good year Jeep but it did not end our friendship.

Please do not listen to the trolls or the rumors. They are worse than the tabloids that say Elvis is alive and having a beer with Hitler on some remote island.
