Airhead Composting Toilet For My Tiny House On Wheels N10

I got a composting toilet from www.airheadtoilet.com and opened up the package today. I was anxiously waiting for this package to arrive.

Geoff from Airhead Toilet was kind enough to send me one of these to try out in the tiny house on wheels.

After reading the book Humanure, I will never go back to a flushing toilet again. Flushing your toilet is such a waste of resources and you would be horrified to know where it ends up afterwards.

Composting your own waste is safe for the environment and costs you nothing. It also does not waste any valuable resources.

AirheatToilet gets the name from a "head" in a boat. The bathroom in a boat is often called the head. They have been in business for many years and sell a lot to boaters.

But with the tiny house movement growing, composting toilets are becoming more common among home owners. A composting toilet is the best thing for a tiny house or even RV'ers. This is because this toilet can handle between 60 - 80 uses before it is full.

This composting toilet is built ruggedly. I was very impressed with the first minute that I opened the box. I could see the quality at first glance. When I picked up the composting toilet I was assured of the quality.

This Airhead composting toilet is made of thick plastic and is made in the USA. You can tell it is built to last.

I have had a lot of experience with RV and camper toilets and they pale in comparison to this composting toilet in quality and strength.

With my old camper toilet I was always afraid the flush button would one day break off. It just felt fragile. This Airhead toilet feels strong and tough.

The composting toilet is mostly assembled on delivery. All you have to do is put on the hose attachment and install the included vent to the outside.

This composting toilet uses a small fan that uses .06 amp at 12 volts. That is less than a watt of power needed to run the Airhead composting toilet.

A small solar panel would supplement all the power this toilet needs to run 24/7.

This composting toilet works by drawing air into the storage tank, and out the other side. This lifts out the moisture and pushes it outside. Bacteria do their work in the tank and reduce your waste to compost day and night.

This composting toilet can be used between 2 to 3 months before it is filled up and needs to be emptied if you are single and using it daily.

For families of course it would need to be emptied more often.

There is a package of large coffee filters in the box. I wondered at first what these are for but later read in the instructions these are to hold your "deposit". Then you push a lever and it drops neatly down into the holding tank.

I cant wait to get my new Airhead composting toilet installed in my tiny home. I have never been so excited about a toilet before like I am now.
