Finishing My Tiny Home Flooring Pt II Post Chicken Attack

After putting away the attacking chickens I finished the tiny house flooring. It took me until long after the sun went down but I finally finished it.

The job took a long time because I was looking through old lumber for some scraps which did not have insect or water damage. These scraps I used under the floor boards at each joint to support the floor and keep it from squeaking or sagging with time.

I also added more insulation under the edges of the floor framing to help keep out the cold air. I did not entirely fill the void under the floor but rather filled it up around all of the edges. This will prevent any cold spots under the floor.

I was also dry fitting the boards as I went to make sure they fit nicely before using liquid nails and then screwing each board down in place.

The last board required some cutting because I had forgotten to cut it before.

The floor is finally finished. This is the day many doubted they would ever see. Now the floor is done and I can move on to the framing of my tiny house on wheels.
