Meeting And Hike With Buggingin And ManfOfMany Thingz Of YouTube O1

Friday afternoon I had a visit from the TEAM. Buggingin and ManOfMany Thingz came over for a hike and to discuss future survival outings.

We are going to take it to the next level. From now on we will be going on survival trips. These trips will become more extreme with each step. So stay tuned and watch for the team to meet up again.

When they arrived we first went on a tour of the tiny house on wheels. Bison from Buggingin brought me some gifts to use in the field. Thank you very much Bison.

We then headed off into the woods behind my tiny home to have a tour of the property. This is no gentle park full of trails and roads. This is rough, untouched wild country. There is nothing on three sides of my place but more forest and mountains.

Along the way we each took a survival knife and a battle ax to try out in the woods.

ManOfMany Thingz had a Smith and Wesson knife which is his all time favorite carry. Buggingin and I had brand new TSC bowie style knives which we had just picked up for only $10 each.

We did not expect much from the cheap knives and expected to destroy them during the tests. Although they are full tang, they are cheaply priced and packaged. At $10 you would not expect a knife to hold up well at all to some abuse in the woods.

But, our knives did handle everything we threw at them. We hacked, slashed and cut our way through the woods with these knives. We threw them and cut wood with the saw. The blades kept their sharpness very well.

They are full tang and made of thick metal. There is no label or stamp so we have no idea what sort of steel they are made of though.

ManOfMany Thingz was also carrying and testing out his new Cold Steel Trench Hawk ax. This is currently on sale on Amazon for under $30.

I was carrying the SOG FastHawk survival ax. This is surprisingly cheap and can be found at Walmart for only $25.

We both tested and tried out axes heavily during our hike in the woods. We trew them, cut logs and split dead standing trees with them.

The SOG is a nice, convenient tool to have on a survival trip in the woods. It makes a good defensive weapon and survival tool. It is perfect for light weight wood cutting or for throwing. I love it.

The Cold Steel ax is very light weight but a beast of a tool. It splits logs and fells small trees with ease. Although it is very light, this thing is no joke. It takes all the abuse you can throw at it and still keeps its edge.

We had a good time walking the perimeter of my property. It did take quite some time though because this is rugged terrain and wild forest. Sometimes the passing gets tough. It took us a few hours to make the entire trip around the perimeter of my property out back.

We also looked at the stream which runs through the middle of the woods. We are in the middle of a drought but there is still water in the woods. That is very good to know. Even the lake and creek are nearly dried up but I still have water in my woods. This is a good survival resource.

During our hike we talked about future survival trips. We plan do get together more often and review products as well as do some serious survival trips.
