40,000 - that's how many inmates this mega-prison in El Salvador can hold up. As a maximum-security prison, you'd probably expect the authorities to ensure basic living conditions.

But as it turns out, life in this colossal facility is far from comfortable behind its imposing walls, where the sun hardly shines, and the air is thick with the stench of sweat and desperation.

Each cell only has 80 metal bunks for every 100 prisoners. So 20 people will have to f*ght for a spot on the cold, hard metal, with no blanket or even a pillow.

The question is, just how far would you go to claim a spot in this way too-overcrowded cell?
