Minister of International Relations Naledi Pandor says she found the US Embassy's security alert to it's citizens "odd".

The US Embassy and Consulate in South Africa has issued a security alert for American citizens. According to the US, the security alert is ‘over the ongoing energy crisis’, ‘load shedding ‘and ‘controlled energy outages’.

Pandor is part of a delegation of ministers at the Union Buildings where President Cyril Ramaphosa is hosting Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
