Backyard Addition - DAY 3 - Using Up the Rest of the MC!!!

As many of us as aware, the material used in this episode is commonly used for commercial wiring; but because of price at time of posting, we decided to run with MC Cable instead of typical NM-B. These cable assemblies are very similar pertaining to code i.e. distance from box to be stapled, distance between staples, bend radius, and so on.
Another thing to notice is lay out of lighting. There's a couple different methods use to lay out lighting such as marking them on trusses, or marking it out on the floor. Several things to mention here: when marking out on the floor, be sure the floor is level when using a laser level to transfer the mark upwards. An unlevel surface will result, notice I said WILL result, in a point being obscured and out of line. Say you have a mark 1/16th out of level, and you're transferring to a 16 foot high ceiling. That mark will be out of line by 1" or greater by the time it hits the desired height. Another thing to watch for is when marking out with a tape measure up high, it is beneficial to use a helper when pulling measurements so the clip on the tape measure doesn't come off. Also, be sure to pull your tape tight, or as to not have sag in the center. A good way to avoid this is to pull measurements from above the trusses and let your tape measure be supported.
