THE TRUE REST THAT IS FOUND IN CHRIST JESUS

Matthew 11:29-30 King James Version
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!!
While I was not only reading this morning's passage of scripture, but also this morning's devotional, I really got to thinking of what Jesus was saying in this, about the fact that He's the only true source of peace, happiness, contentment, and rest that we could ever have. I was really incredibly challenged and intrigued by Marvin Williams mentioning about this country musician, who had achieved such fame in his lifetime with 40 of his albums being on the Billboard country's top ten music charts and just as many number one singles, but for all of this man's notoriety and fame, he was still searching. I was also thinking of something that Jonathan Roumie’s character, Lonnie Frisbee states to Chuck Smith, in the movie Jesus Revolution, when he says how people are searching for happiness, peace, and truth, but they're looking for it in all the wrong places. I think that's why I'm so incredibly burdened to share some things through this vlog I’d like to share with all of you tonight, in hopes that if there's anybody out there that's searching for true peace and rest, that they will learn to find it in Christ Jesus. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that they not only challenge your heart, but they encourage you to see that you can have real peace and rest. Peace and rest through Jesus Christ alone!

I pray tonight my friends, that if you don't know Christ as your savior, that you choose to do so today. You can't find peace, happiness, or rest and anything or anyone other than Jesus, and until you realize that, you will not be satisfied. Know that when you choose to come to Jesus, he will give you peace like nothing else for your restless soul, and a new and less burdensome way to live in Him. He will give you the peace that passes all understanding, so that you can truly know and have the true rest that you are seeking.
