He has written dozens of books since the mid-80s—some roleplaying reference guides, some novels—in both the Star Trek and BattleTech universes. He has won awards for non-fiction military history writing. He has spoken at the U.S. Navy Museum, the U.S. National Archives, the Smithsonian, the Mariner's Museum, and the New York Military Affairs Symposium. He has also written true crime and, more recently, political thrillers. He was also cancelled by Catalyst Game Labs in 2022 because an individual whose actions were in line with those of an unhinged person began harassing him and he made it public. The company sided with the individual. That's it. Let's talk about that and his successes with the new Land&Sea series.
