Dynamics And Articulation Symbols And Meaning For Piano

When it comes to reading sheet music, there are symbols to tell us how loud to play or how to play certain notes to add expression. Dynamics is how loud we play. Articulation is how we play.

In this lesson we'll be learning all dynamics of pp (pianissimo) all the way through ff (Fortissimo). We'll learn to gradually get louder (crescendo) and gradually get quieter (diminuendo). We'll also cover ties, legato, staccato, tenuto, and accents.
