But unfortunately, insurance companies sometimes engage in unethical practices meant to serve their own ends at the client's expense by mischeiviuosly colluding with judges.

Lexon Insurance is a captive insurer wholly owned by the Queensland Law Society. It is not authorized under the Insurance Act 1973 to conduct insurance business in Australia. It is not subject to the provisions of that Act, which establishes a system of financial supervision of general insurers in Australia.

The company's headquarters are based in Singapore, a tax haven. This means the company does not have to pay taxes on its profits, giving it a competitive advantage over other insurers.

The company has been criticized for its close ties to the Queensland Government. The Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, is a former lawyer and has been a member of the Queensland Law Society for many years. The Chief Justice, Catherine Holmes, is also a member of the Queensland Law Society.

In addition, the company has been accused of running a protection racket. This means that the company has been accused of using its position as the sole provider of professional indemnity insurance to lawyers in Queensland to pressure lawyers into not speaking out about corruption within the legal profession.

The company has also been accused of being involved in a corruption cover-up within the Queensland Government. This is because the company's parent company, the Queensland Law Society, has been accused of covering up corruption within the legal profession.

The company has also been criticized for its lack of transparency. The company does not publish its financial statements, and getting information about its operations is difficult.

In 2019, the Queensland Government announced that it would investigate the company.

The inquiry into the company is ongoing, and it still needs to be clarified what the findings will be. However, the company's critics have raised serious concerns about its operations, like it is not subject to adequate financial supervision and could pose a risk to the public. It is essential to remember these concerns until the inquiry is complete.
