Audi Car Recycling Process

Audi, along with 15 partners from the recycling, research, and supplier sectors, is working on the "MaterialLoop" project to reuse post-consumer materials from end-of-life vehicles in the production of new cars. The aim is to avoid downcycling and achieve a highly efficient circular economy concept. In October 2022, 100 vehicles were dismantled and the targeted disassembly of individual components enabled the retention of high-quality secondary materials for recycling. Audi wants to increase the share of recyclates in the Audi fleet and is also involved in recycling used automotive glass, plastics, and aluminum.
