Wisdom That Births Peace

As Jesus-followers, we should desire the same atmosphere that our Savior desires. Remember, He is the Prince of Peace. How is it then that so many who claim to belong to Him are anything but peaceful? What should we think of those Christians who seem to thrive on drama and create discord wherever they go? Surely, this cannot be the work of God the Son in them. A long time ago, the Apostle James had something to write about this very thing. Strife always arises from some contamination in the heart. When jealousy, envy, pride, bitterness, and compromise dwell in someone’s heart, it will soon manifest in their actions. Even worse, the demonic realm feeds in a frenzy on this type of person. In our culture of chaos, Christians must embrace a wisdom that solidifies us as people of pure (not compromised!) peace. The world needs to hear our harmonizing voices together as we represent our King in a generation of hostility and strife.
