The cars were on fire before the derailment. The cargo came from Dow toxic waste site in Madison Illinois. Roadmap -- Madison to Toledo to Conway -- the train started on fire several miles out. Then derailment took place right before East Palestine.

What was in these 5 tanker cars? It was falsely described as Vinyl Chloride. It was falsely described as Vinyl Chloride. It was actually Vinylidene Chloride. Also known as Dichloroethene or dichloroethylene. It's used to clean Uranium Fuel Rods.
