In today's video, we continue with the restoration side of the '62 GMC build. There ended up being a lot more rot, body filler and hidden dents than we planned for so progress has been slow and steady. Having said that, the transformation has been amazing, especially all of the custom smoothing Joe did on the firewall! We hope to have this thing painted in the next month depending on how much the rest of the panels fight us over the next couple of weeks. You definitely don't want to miss this episode as the fabrication Joe has had to do for some of these parts has been impressive to say the least! As I've mentioned in prior videos, this is going to be a unique build that's going to utilize mostly factory GM parts when it comes to the chassis, powertrain and driveline. The goal is to build a truck that's easily serviceable, reliable, fun to drive and comfortable to drive on a daily basis. The core of this build will start by taking two old GM vehicles that were destined for the scrap yard and repurpose as much of them as possible to limit cost and give the '62 a significant dose of modernizing.
