Some singers are also song writers who are story tellers. Such is the case with Harry Chapin and Ray Stevens and today's Segue City Special. Both of these songs are over 50 years old and yet the things they're singing about could have been ripped from the news and social media of today. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Couple that with that old Chinese blessing/curse of "May you live in interesting times" and here we are...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
