Law and Grace - Part 14

The lesson on March 5, 2023 was part 14 and the final lesson in the Law and Grace study. In wrapping up this study Wayne recaps what we have learned. We are NOT under the law of Moses BUT we are under the law of messiah (Christ). His commandments are given to us through Paul the Prisoner. Why does Paul use “Christ” in all his epistles? In the Acts epistles, the Jew if first, waiting to receive the New Covenant and are members in part of the body of Christ. During the prison epistles we are edifying of the body of Christ. In a review of the passages referencing the body of Christ (Rom. 7:4; 1 Cor. 10:16; 1 Cor. 12:27 and Eph. 4:12). With the Law of Christ in the Acts there was a body of Christ with members by part. The objective then was to be married to Christ as a bride. They had a fellowship in Communion (New Covenant). In our calling of The Mystery, we have a body of Christ where Christ is the head with members one of another. The objective is to be a New Man and we have the fellowship of the Mystery. Are we lawless? NO!! We are under the law of Messiah! (Col. 2:6, 8, 16, 18; 3:1-2, 5, 8-9, 12, 15-16, 18-23; 4:1-2, 5, 10, 15-18 (Imperatives!! These are also to be divided see last 4 verses)).

The scripture reading was from Habakkuk 3:10-16 KJV “10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. 11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear. 12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. 13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. 14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly. 15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters. 16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.”
