A 2010 ABC News segment describing “Recorded Future”, referring to ai technologies that can analyze in real time almost endless amounts of social media, websites, blogs, forums, etc to make highly accurate predictive models of future events (or at least predict future events in the way they will appear on the internet). Spooky stuff.

Google owns 90-95% of search traffic on the entire surface web and even the supposed competitors like duck duck go source the majority of their links from Google. And with Facebook, it was launched February 4, 2004, the exact same day DARPA shut down their LifeLog comprehensive data collection project on US citizens.
