many build a "straw dummy argument" by picking the worst example of a open carrier and then portray all of them as the same, examples of a guy having a gun in back pocket easy to grab by anyone, but he is stupid and yet they say us open carriers who carry correctly are some how stupid and we are going to get killed more then a concealed carrier, the key is situational awareness be it your open or concealed, your just as likely or even more prone to not pay attention while concealed carry as you are open carry because open carry we know that other see our gun, so we have the element of surprise by excercising situational awareness because we have to, the element of suprise can be against you just as well being a concealed carrier if your not paying attention
