Many who believe in cessationism misunderstand the sufficiency of Scripture. Christians do not live by the Bible alone. The Bible is an objective standard by which to judge our subjective experience as we walk with Christ. Christianity is more than a Bible study, we are supposed to experience God. We are supposed to know Him, not just know about Him.
