Octopath Traveler 2 (PC) - Part 11: The Amnesiac Apothecary (Castti Chapter 1)

We may have a full party now, but there are still two more characters out there somewhere, so let's go east to the city of Canalbrine to recruit our Apothecary hero Castti! Castti's path actions are Inquire (during the day) which lets you learn new information from NPCs (like Temenos's Coerce, Osvald's Scrutinize, and Hikari's Bribe, but based on character level), and Soothe (at night), which gives medicine to sick townspeople.

While her Octopath 1 counterpart Alfyn was driven by his memories of his best friend and the apothecary who saved his own life, Castti is driven by her complete lack of memories and her quest to rediscover who she is.

In Chapter 1 of Castti's story, we see her sent off on a boat by a mysterious figure. As she ends up picked up by a ship, she inquires the crew about the situation as they arrive at the city of Canalbrine. Upon her arrival, the townsfolk take an immediate dislike to Castti, and later that night she finds out why. When she's treating a sick boy, his brother aggressively kicks her out, accusing her of being a member of a group called "Eir's Apothecaries" who killed an entire town on the eastern continent with poisonous medicine.

After more Soothing and Inquiring about the nature of the disease, Castti determines that the drinking water is the source of the illness. At the water source, she finds that two diseased monsters named Doron and Veron are the cause of the poisoned water. After killing the monsters and cleansing the water, the Canalbrine townsfolk change their tune about Castti and welcome her. She finds her next clue to her identity in a diary hidden in her satchel, which directs her to Sai and Winterbloom.
