Arsenal Revenge on Everton

Arsenal smashed Everton 4-0 at the Emirates. The Gunners owed the Toffees that one. Much to our collective chagrin, Everton had become a bogey club for Arsenal. You cannot afford to drop points to clubs at the bottom when challenging for a Champions League spot (last season) and/or a Premier League title.

Every club has a bogey team. For Arsenal, that team is Everton. The Toffees have been a thorn in Mikel Arteta's side since the Spaniard was appointed manager more than three years ago. That will make Arsenal fans dread, as the two clubs meet at the Emirates on Wednesday evening.

The Gunners will move five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League if they win that game - but that is a big if. Everton is desperate for points and will be looking to stop Arsenal from inflicting revenge on the relegation-threatened club.
