Examining the post WW2 History of direct military intervention by the US in Guatemala, Cuba, Brazil, Chile, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, its record of destabilisation, sanctions, economic embargo and blocade to enforce the Monroe Doctrine - the idea that the nations, resources and peoples of the Americas are the property of the US corporations to financially exploit, and any government or political formation that stands in the way of this “right” can and should be overthrown by any means - he paints a vivid picture of the true imperialist force in the Americas.

Contrast this to the remains of trade, investment, development and cooperation that China has with those same nations and it is Crystal clear that the notion that China is “imperialist” is a US trope, a lie, US propaganda issued by their institutions that are outraged to see their grip over the entire hemisphere slipping as more and more popular and democratic and socialist governments come to power, and challenge US domination.
