Clowns to the Left, Jokers on the Right | 03/08/23

Do we have a real constitutional crisis on our hands? Are we watching the fall of our republic before our eyes? Two stories tell us these two things may indeed be happening. On the one hand, two members of the United States Senate — Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell — have attempted to put their thumb on the scale of free speech and who gets to use it as a journalist, even who gets to be hired and fired. On the other hand, we have Biden's FTC attempting to squelch speech and dive in to journalists relationships with Twitter and beyond. I've never seen such brazen attacks from not one, but two branches of our government on such a fundamental right as this.
