Gurd has been a cannabis activist since about 2003 starting in Toronto with the hash mob, Moved to Calgary in 2015 and he quickly became friends with those who would come to create the Calgary Cannabis Club in 2016. He says his goal moving forward with the club is to see it involved in activism and education. He is the current VP of the club

Gurd began micro dosing LSD and psilocybin in 2017 for his own personal Mental Health.
Gurd will speak to us about his journey ingesting LSD for 6 months straight and then beginning a micro dose regime with psilocybin three times weekly, which he continues today
In Gurds own words, "I have both witnessed and personally experienced how psychedelic medicines can be therapeutic to people dealing with mental health and other issues."
His focus now is advocating for more research and helping patients gain access safely.
