Bulgarians Gather To Protest Soviet Monument Displacement

Protestors have allegedly vowed to keep around the clock monitoring of the monument to the Soviet army to prevent it from being defaced or moved to another location.

On Thursday, Sofia city council voted 41-13 in favor of instructing mayor Yordanka Fandukova to formally request the state to remove the statue from the capital.
