GY6 Enricher solution reduce RPM while cold - Moped Scooter 50cc 150cc PD18J PD24J choke adjustment

12-24-2021 my scooter was revving much too high when i started it up bone cold, the idle would be at around 3,100 rpm's and the scooter at 2,500 rpm the clutch would engage and the scooter would want to ride off into the sunset without me. this was annoying as i would have HAVE to hold the brakes and wait 2 to 3 minutes for the engine to warm up. for years i was using a bungee cord wrapped around the brake handle to hold it for me and it worked great i can unlock the gate without worrying about the scooter but it wasn't a REAL solution to the problem. i searched the internet and the only thing i could find are people converting their carburetors to manual chokes which defeats the purpose of the enricher unit. anyway this works for me and it MIGHT work for you too.

but i must warn you i am not a mechanic nor have i ever been properly trained as one so if you decide to try this you do it at your own risk as this video is not a tutorial it is rather a show and tell of how i solved my own carburetor problem and the reason the theory and the fix of what i had done to resolve this issue. if in doubt take your scooter moped to a certified mechanic at a proper repair shop.
