In this video Rory (The Love Chat) discusses hindsight and how we often beat ourselves up after a breakup with our EX or a failed attempt at romance with someone who wasn't yet our partner. Hindsight can be particularly hard to deal with because we now have the knowledge that could have prevented a breakup with your EX, or would have made that date more successful, or wouldn't have offended the person we wanted to ask out with that stupid joke.

This is particularly challenging for those who have been dumped by their EX and just want to know what to do. Sometimes people ask "Should I send a clean slate letter to my EX?" - this is an example of when we want to use hindsight to our advantage. The problem with this is that your EX doesn't suddenly forget what happened in the relationship or breakup. These things happened and impacted them - it is important to use what we have learned to be better prepared for the future!
