209. The Pedestal

In this video Rory (The Love Chat) discusses what happens when you overvalue your Ex or "Put your Ex on the pedestal". This means that you treat your EX more importantly than you treat yourself. Don't overvalue your Ex! One of the most important things you need to do in a breakup with your EX is to treat yourself well. Focus on your mental and physical fitness and work with a counselor! It can be painful to know that your EX girlfriend or EX boyfriend has dumped you but you cannot respond by begging or pleading for your EX to come back to you!

Rory (The Love Chat) recommends to take time to yourself and allow your anxiety to cool down. The No Contact rule should be used to help give your EX time and space to miss you. More importantly is that you should be using this time to focus on your personal growth and healing so that your EX is not the most important thing you've got going on!
