Banyuwangi is a regency area in East Java Province , Indonesia . The capital is Banyuwangi District or often called Banyuwangi City . This regency is located at the eastern end of the island of Java , in the Horseshoe area , and its territory is bordered by Situbondo Regency and Bondowoso Regency in the north, the Bali Strait ( Bali Province ) in the east, the Indian Ocean in the south, and Jember Regency and Bondowoso Regency .in the West.
