D4VD Produced His First Songs on BandLab #Shorts

After discovering an easy-to-use music production app called “BandLab”, David started messing around with recording his own music from the comfort of his sister’s walk-in closet. Because he found the app so easy to use, he never bothered learning how to produce, instead, he just jumped right into it. Beginning in late 2021, the first song he ever made was an indie-number called “Run Away” – a slow jam in which he was simply trying to figure out his sound. Next, he made “You and I”, which became the first song he ever used in the background to his gameplay footage. When other people started using that track in their own fan-edits, David realized he might be onto something – that’s when he created “Bleed Out”, which would go onto become his most successful track in his “Fornite” video series. Emboldened like never before, the next song David made – “Never Again” – became the first R&B track he’d upload to SoundCloud where it went onto earn about 20,000 listens in just three days – far more than any of his previous songs. Even with his SoundCloud popping-off, David wasn’t convinced that a career in music was for him and he was still holding out hope to become a professional gamer – but after getting DMs from fans encouraging him to focus on the music, David decided to bite the bullet and do just that.
