Despite earning himself a reputation as a singer for crooning lyrics like: “I’m in love with plenty women”. Whenever he’s actually asked about his love life or relationship status, Rema insists he has no current romantic interests or even the room in his life for dating at all. Instead, he’s busy putting all of that love into his music. He explained to Rolling Stone: “When I step in the studio, I just do whatever I feel, and when I feel like all the different songs correlate with each other, I put them together and build from there. That’s how I created this project, it’s mostly love-based, but it touches on other topics as well. It doesn’t mean I’m a womanizer type; that’s not my aspiration, it’s just that love plays a huge role in my life. That’s the push.” Thus, “Raves & Roses” was created and released in March of 2022. With featured guest stars including 6LACK, Chris Brown, and AJ Tracey, the album wasn’t just critically well-received, it also sold extremely well -- reaching the number five spot on Billboard’s World Albums chart and entering the Billboard 200 at number 196.
